Mr. Andrew King is the Department Head of Tactical Edge Solutions and serves as IoT Business Lead for the Software Engineering Technical Center at the MITRE Corporation. He is an active researcher in the IoT field, working primarily with distributed sensor systems and low-energy devices.

Prior to joining MITRE, he spent a decade in industry building products that supported customers across a wide range of domains, including automotive telematics, network management, data storage, and enterprise software. He holds liberal arts degrees from both the University of New Hampshire and Boston University, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science, also from Boston University.
