Bangor, ME – (May 10, 2021) UpStart Maine, the Bangor coalition of entrepreneurial support programs, is partnering with Innovation Nights, the Boston region’s leading new product showcase, to create Maine Innovation Nights, a new way for the community to help support local entrepreneurs. An educational kickoff event is planned for May 25 and the first Innovation Nights main event will be held in the fall. RSVP for the kickoff today.
For more than a decade, Innovation Nights has run social media powered events in the Boston area. These events have supported the launches of more than 1500 new products and startups, driving up to 3 million online views a month through a combination of newsletters, online marketing and social media. The promotional efforts culminated in a live event. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Innovation Nights has continued to host online events, group chats and networking events.
“I’ve participated in Innovation Nights in the greater Boston area and have always been impressed with the community-oriented approach,” said Elisa O’Donnell UpStart’s consultant and ecosystem builder. “By working together with the Innovation Nights team, we can do more for the Bangor region entrepreneurs and the local innovation ecosystem, and more easily tap the Greater Boston ecosystem.”
“The Bangor area is fortunate to have so many great institutions involved in UpStart Maine and supporting the local innovation economy,” said Bobbie Carlton, founder of Innovation Nights. “Our approach requires strong community leaders, but Innovation Nights offers something for everyone. It’s always a win-win.”
Innovation Nights events bring together entrepreneurs, business owners and experts, investors, students, teachers and more. On May 25, UpStart Maine and Carlton will offer a live online discussion of how Innovation Nights works and invite local entrepreneurs to become part of the first event.
