TiE Boston is accepting applications for female founders and co-founders for its upcoming Women’s Pitch Competition. Eight semifinalists will receive access to mentors and a free membership to all TiE Boston events for one year. There is also prize money of $5K for first place, $3K for second place and $1K for third place. Board-Ready Bootcamp: Apply now for the October cohort! While there are other board preparation programs, this award-winning bootcamp is geared toward leaders from underrepresented groups who are often excluded from board opportunities. The bootcamp provides both a high-impact curriculum on board fundamentals, strategy, and governance as well as valuable connections to help attendees advance their board journey. Emerging Brands Grants help growing CPG companies scale operations through investment in manufacturing and packaging. In 2023, one $50,000 grant will be awarded to assist the winning brand in the purchase of packaging or processing machinery. The Emerging Brands Grant program is funded by the Emerging Brands Alliance, a platform providing year-round education, community support, and growth opportunities to high-growth brands looking to scale their manufacturing operations. IMPACT is a 12-week accelerator program that uses a unique 1:1 approach and is created to connect startups with resources needed for commercialization. Selected companies will have the opportunity to engage with corporate sponsors. Annual Seeding The Future Global Food System Challenge: Hosted by the Institute of Food Technologists and funded by the Seeding The Future Foundation, the Challenge is intended to support innovations that have the potential for significant impact at scale and over time, and benefit at least one or more of the following intersecting domains: nutritious food for a healthy diet; sustainably produced; and accessible, appealing, affordable, and trusted by consumers. The Biz-M-Power crowdfunding matching grant program offers small businesses in Massachusetts financial assistance with their acquisition, expansion, improvement or lease of a facility, purchase or capital lease of equipment, or with meeting other capital needs for the business. Eligible applicants will be empowered to advance their business with an innovative approach to obtaining capital. Through crowdfunding campaigns, these businesses connect with their local residents and stakeholders to advance projects that support economic success and transformation for their business and in their communities.
