Clif Family Foundation Open Call Grants – Deadline August 3. These grants support general operating costs and applicants must be registered as (or fiscally sponsored by) a 501(c)3 organization.
Social Enterprise Greenhouse – Deadline August 3. SEG’s Impact Accelerator is designed for established entrepreneurs ready to scale their ventures. They help ventures with a social mission expand their reach and develop strategies that boost their financial and operational success and create systemic change.
EforAll Accelerator Program – Trimester 3 2026 — Deadline: August 6. The EforAll Accelerator Program offers intensive business training and support for entrepreneurs in the area, culminating in business presentations and a showcase.
The Founder Lab – Deadline: August 8. The Founder Lab is a selected first cohort for founders building technology companies in Massachusetts. Selected companies meet at Akamai in Kendall Square for peer conversations, practical resources, and useful connections through MTLC’s network when there is a clear fit.
VentureWell Next-Generation Restorative Dental Systems Content Experts – Deadline: August 15. The RADx® Commercialization Center at VentureWell, on behalf of the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) and the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is seeking Content Experts to support the RADx innovation funnel projects focusing on advancing next-generation, mercury-free restorative dental systems that deliver durable clinical performance, affordability, and broad accessibility across different care environments.
Blueprint by The Engine™ - Deadline: August 16. Blueprint by The Engine™ is designed to help graduate students, postdocs, researchers, and their teams explore the translational potential for their breakthrough research. The content sessions of the Blueprint program are facilitated online, beginning September 11th – October 29th. The Blueprint Showcase will be on Thursday, October 29th, in person at The Engine HQ in Cambridge, MA. 
Ocean Technology Opportunity Roadmap — Deadline: August 24. Amount: $150,000. The Ocean Technology Opportunity Roadmap program offers funding for innovative ocean technology projects.
Social Innovator Accelerator Program – Deadline: August 26. The Social Innovator Accelerator works to create a community inclusive of nonprofit and philanthropic leaders, and other change agents seeking to build a more equitable nonprofit sector in the region. The Accelerator program provides participating nonprofit organizations (Social Innovators) with support and resources to deepen and expand their work and impact in Eastern Massachusetts. This two-year program offers in-depth consulting, executive coaching, presentation advising, access to unrestricted grants, and more. These offerings will help them raise their organization’s visibility, expand their networks, and connect with philanthropic and in-kind resources in order to increase and deepen the impact of their work.
Request for Qualifications: Technical Assistance for Green School Works — Deadline: August 26. This program seeks qualifications for providing technical assistance in green school projects.
MASS Timber Assembly — Deadline: August 28. Amount: $40,000. This program supports projects that utilize mass timber in building construction.
FORGE Product Development Grant– Deadline September 14. This funding opportunity is designed to support hardtech startups and existing businesses as they navigate the challenges of developing and commercializing physical products, and growing their organizations. Intended to help companies overcome the “Hardware Valley of Death,” this grant provides critical non-dilutive funding to address product development and manufacturing challenges that often present barriers to growth. This opportunity is for underrepresented businesses in Massachusetts or select regions of New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
Request For Proposals: Grants for Enhancing MA Grid Resilience & Reliability — Deadline: September 21. This program invites proposals for grants aimed at improving the resilience and reliability of Massachusetts’s grid.
VentureWell’s E-Team Program – Deadline: September 29. The E-Team Program offers an enriching combination of grant funding, hands-on learning experience, and mentorship that transforms student inventors into entrepreneurs. Teams can receive up to $25,000 to advance their innovation.
Renaissance Philanthropy’s Fund Ecosystem Program – Deadline: September 30. The program is soliciting grants proposals for up to $20,000 to support short landscape analyses of why valuable scientific progress and innovations fail to reach the world in specific domains, and what someone could do about it.
Go Make 2027: Advanced Carbon Materials with ExxonMobil – Deadline October 9. Greentown Labs is seeking applications from startups (TRL 3–7) developing novel carbon-based technologies. They are looking for material, property, or performance innovations that demonstrate clear pathways to industrial-scale deployment and commercialization.In conjunction with ExxonMobil, the Go Make 2027: Advanced Carbon Materials program aims to accelerate collaboration between innovative founders and ExxonMobil, leveraging carbon’s unique properties to deliver durable, high-performance, and scalable solutions aligned with the company’s energy, industrial, and materials businesses.
SXSW Pitch – Deadline: November 13. SXSW Pitch is a premier startup showcase spotlighting the most ambitious entrepreneurs and disruptive technologies from around the world. Now in its 19th year, this dynamic event invites startups to apply through an open call process for a chance to be featured as a finalist. SXSW Pitch highlights startups across selected categories, presenting them to a panel of industry experts, early adopters, and investors.
Climatetech Testing & Demonstration Assets (TDA) Program — Deadline: November 13. Amount: $1M – $5M. This program supports testing and demonstration of climate technologies with significant funding available for applicants.
EforAll Accelerator Program – Trimester 1 2027 — Deadline: December 10. The next cohort of the EforAll Accelerator Program will provide intensive business training for early-stage entrepreneurs, leading to final presentations and celebration events.
2030 Fund — Deadline: Rolling. The 2030 Fund aims to invest in transformative innovations in energy and technology sectors.
AREA — Deadline: Rolling. Amount: $30,000. AREA is an intensive, three-month, cohort-based, venture accelerator program for promising startup teams applying new technology-based approaches to solving traditional real estate problems. AREA provides $30,000 in seed funding, communal office space in New York City, a strong educational curriculum, mentorship from industry leaders, peer support, access to the AREA alumni network and customer introductions.
AfterHours — Deadline: Rolling. AfterHours is a student incubator and collective for artists, technologists, engineers, and creators building a humanist future by design. The program culminates in a VC-sponsored Demo Day, where teams showcase progress toward MVP and early product–market fit, powered by the right resources and a cross-university community.
Auxilium — Deadline: Rolling. Auxilium partners with technology-based start-ups throughout their entrepreneurial journey and provides the resources, network, and funding to help seed level start-ups navigate the challenges of piloting a business, and early-stage entities the support and systems for accelerated growth.
BETA: Project Planning — Deadline: Rolling. This program offers guidance in project planning for electrification and decarbonization strategies.
Clean Energy Grants — Deadline: Rolling. Amount: $75,000. MassVentures co-manages the Catalyst and DICES grant programs with MassCEC to provide mentoring, networking and grants to researchers and early-stage companies looking to demonstrate initial prototypes of their clean energy technologies. We run two cohorts per year and award 10 grants per cohort.
Clean Energy Internship Program for Employers — Deadline: Rolling. Amount: $4,320/intern for Fall or Spring session; $8,640/intern for Summer session or for Construction, Installation, and Maintenance. This program provides financial assistance to employers for hiring interns in the clean energy sector to develop valuable experience.
Green School Works Technical Assistance Services — Deadline: Rolling. Amount: Technical assistance worth up to $250k. This program offers technical assistance to improve the performance of green school projects.
SBIR START Grants — Deadline: Rolling. Amount: $100,000-$500,000. MassVentures offers grants and guidance to startups wanting to convert their research into businesses and commercialize their technologies. 26 grants were awarded in 2025, ranging from $100,000-$500,000.
School Bus: Advisory Services Program — Deadline: Rolling. Amount: No-Cost Advisory Services. This program offers advisory services aimed at improving the fleet of school buses in Massachusetts.
TiE ScaleUp — Deadline: Rolling. ScaleUp is an equity-free program that serves startup founders by providing each cohort company with curated mentorship from industry veterans, weekly workshops led by veteran entrepreneurs and domain experts, access to funders, an active alumni community, and a lifelong connection to TiE’s esteemed global professional network.
Venture Fund — Deadline: Rolling. MassVentures provides catalytic funding and support for seed-stage deep tech enabled by university and hospital research centers. We invest in academic spinouts and seed-stage deep tech companies based in Massachusetts with an emphasis on diverse founding teams and diverse geographies.
