Tweet about this product: Nanotech Ultra Ion Sensor from @guardiontech: single ion detection at ultra low power, size, & weight. guardiontech.com/

Guardion Technologies has developed a nanomaterials-based on-chip ultra-sensitive detector and counter for incident charged particles (ions). The detectors can be modified to detect ionizing radiation. The underlying technology is nanoelectronics-based, semiconductor-processable, scalable, low power (100nW-1000nW), with variable form factors (wafer scale to lithographic limits) and signal-to-noise ~3 at single ion detection. Applications: cosmic radiation, mass spectrometry, possibly pixelatable for ion imaging, radiation sensing, smart cities, medical imaging and diagnostics.
