Nothing like coming home, is there?
Mass Innovation Nights #66 was held at "Our House". In addition to hosting the event, the Tradecenter also hosts our team on a daily basis for the last several years. Convenient to both 128/95 and 93, we appreciate the easy access from home (no hours long commutes for us, thank you!), free parking, and awesome services from the whole team at Cummings Properties. (Bobbie's been tooling around this week in a Chevy Volt courtesy of the Drive the District program and the Tradecenter even has a charging station to give the Volt the juice it needs to keep up its 250+ MPG history. She's determined not to buy gas this week!) Big huge thanks to the whole Tradecenter team for another outstanding event! The "house" looked great!
We had a terrific diverse group of cool products to launch and big hometown crowd determined to help out! Ranging from the Jess, Meet Ken dating site where girls post guy friends for other girls to meet, to the 3D scanner from Dot Product we had a crowd pleaser at every table. You could test spots on your skin with Lubax (who captured more than 100 samples over the night), chart a career path with SkillsMapper, set up a procurement system with Jenytamarket, send a video message, learn to code in Drupal, measure your innovation options with Synchrony or stand to work with Upstanding Designs. As part of our new Student Startup Spotlight, we had two products from Northeastern's IDEA program – Hydrolite and Genius.box. They've done an impressive job of taking student startups to market and we've hosted a number of them, including last night's crowd favorite, the Walking Charger! American Airlines Business Extra points went to:
- Lubax
- Dot Product
- UPSTANDING designs – The Metropolitan
- Top prize: Energy Harvester's Walking Charger
