Kara launched Women Entrepreneurs Boston (WE BOS), a City of Boston program designed to advance Boston’s women entrepreneurs, by providing them with the resources and network they need to launch and grow and their businesses. Kara also a member of Boston's Women's Workforce Council and is a coach for Babson’s Women Innovating Now (WIN lab). In addition to her gender equity work, Kara is one of the City of Boston’s Neighborhood Business Managers, working with businesses in the Boston Main Streets districts and citywide on initiatives and programs designed to support and serve Boston's small business community. Prior to joining the City of Boston, Kara was the Executive Director of West Roxbury Main Streets, a non-profit organization with a focus on economic development and community revitalization.
