Julia studied Urban Studies as an undergraduate and has a masters in Urban Design. She bring this background in how people interact in communities and negotiate the use of space to CIC, where she builds industry-focused coworking communities for the fields of design (Design Town and FabCafe) and food innovation (Branchfood). She is particularly interested in how changing capabilities affect creativity, output, and the ability for people to shape their environments.

Julia is Special Communities Manager at CIC and co-founder of Flycycle, an innovative bike rack company. Julia is motivated to make cities better places to live, work and play, and finds that both jobs allow her to follow this passion. Julia has lived in four continents and loves to learn and speak new languages.
