Dr. Nathan Wiedenman joined Draper in 2014 and serves as the Director of the Sembler Program Office focused on outreach and support for technology startups. Previously, Nathan served in the U.S. Army officer, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel after 21+ years of service. He spent the first eight years of his Army career as a leader of combat soldiers in various armored units, and spent the remainder as a member of the uniformed science and technology community at the Army's Research, Development, and Engineering Command (RDECOM) and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), working to develop the right equipment, processes, and tools for the nation's defense.
Nathan has earned degrees from Harvey Mudd College (B.S., Engineering), the University of California at Berkeley (M.S., Mechanical Engineering), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (PhD, Mechanical Engineering).
