What has 500+ companies for neighbors, a biotech/cleantech incubator, miles of corridor lined with fascinating artifacts from the building’s historical past, super-speedy wireless (courtesy of a boost from our friends at 382 Communications) and bucketloads of innovation?
Answer? Mass Innovation Nights #39 at the Beverly Cummings Center!
Our first North Shore Mass Innovation Nights was a rousing success – felt a little like we were back in the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation in Waltham.  (For our new friends, we started MIN at the Museum, the birthplace of American industry, with our new products tucked amongst the museum exhibits.)
We started out the day early, spending the morning with the team from North-by-North-Shore just down the street at the Danvers Yacht Club.  David Cutler and others burned the candle at both ends, arriving early and coming back for more at night. Also nice to co-promote events with David.
We made lots of new friends, and once again, brought Boston’s favorite monthly product launch party closer to home for many of our MIN regulars.  Got a nice update from the Chococoa Bakery which has expanded tremendously (quadrupled in size and did I hear you now have a lemon whoopie pie with raspberry filling? OMG! That sounds like a good candidate for our August foodie event.) since their first appearance with us.  Was it really only a little more than a year ago?
Many of the first people in the door were new friends who have businesses in the building or, in the words of one guest, were hyper-local.  (Also a shout-out to John for WordCamp Boston, coming soon!)
Our friends at the Cummings Center spoiled us with refreshments including pizza from Anthony’s (also inside the Center.)  And a great, easily set up venue for events, the Conference Center inside the complex.  (And provides a nice after-party location at Acapulco’s nearby.  Good guac!)
Our presenters ranged from healthy living to tools for sharing family photos and videos to business shirts to active games for your iPhone.  (Who knew you had to keep an iPhone entertained?)
Tech writer Janet beat even our blog post out the door. Her blog posts are the best – great pictures, darn good writing and she rarely missed a booth!  Check out our YouTube Channel for video from the evening.  More coming!  Share your post and we’ll link to you too.
