Karen became the Executive Director of MVPC in January 2017. She reports directly to the 16 Commissioners and is responsible for the overall administration of this regional planning agency. She oversees all the land use, transportation, environmental, GIS, and economic development planning performed by the Commission. Karen brings 27 years of experience in the public and private sectors, including having served in both the executive and legislative branches of state government. Most recently, she served as the Director of Community Development and Planning for Peabody, where she oversaw all planning, zoning, community development, building/inspections and conservation functions. Karen has a BA in Political Science and French from Duke University and resides in Salem, NH with her husband Robert and three children.
