Mass Innovation Nights #99 was a smashing success! Our first event in the Greater Grove Hall area brought supporters of innovation to the Thelma D Burns Building to learn more about the 14 new startups showcasing. Sponsored by Greater Grove Hall Main Streets, #MIN99 featured all African-American and African tech founders. 14 companies showcased their innovative products alongside an enthusiastic group of experts. There was so much local interest and support for the event and product launchers that we featured!
Our third event at MITRE was a huge success! The line was out the door to attend Mass Innovation Nights 98 last night at MITRE in Bedford. Attendees enjoyed the beautiful and spacious event hall of our host and sponsor MITRE, a not-for-profit corporation that runs research and development centers for the federal government. While munching on the delicious food provided by our host, event-goers networked with 11 innovative new startups with products in the IoT space.
While Tuesday saw much of Boston hunkered down to ride out winter storm Stella, Wednesday was all about Mass Innovation Nights 96! Not only did we get #MIN96 trending on twitter, but we got the innovation community to turn up for our event at Cramer in Norwood. Cramer, a brand experience agency with an over thirty year record of helping global companies tell their story, provided attendees with an A+ event experience.
Mass Innovation Nights returned to Lowell for our 95th monthly product launch event- and what a blast it was! As a joint partnership between the City of Lowell and UMass Lowell's iHUb co-working space, MIN95 brought together the entire innovation ecosystem in this bustling Massachusetts town. Of the ten startups demo-ing their products at the event, many of them were great local products benefiting from the awesome resources of our sponsor and venue, the Innovation Hub at UMass Lowell.
Last night's MIN #94 event couldn't have been better. Nestled in the heart of Cambridge, our sponsor Sembler at Draper provided a beautiful event space for us to take over. They took great care of us and did not forget a thing -- from the use of their parking garage to the delicious spread they put out for our attendees. Sembler aims to empower startups by leveraging the vast resources of Draper. Learn more about how they can help your startup here.
Our first ever education technology event last night was quite the success. We launched 12 innovative #edtech startups at the impressive US Headquarters of Dassault Systemes. If you didn't know what Dassault was until our event, we're sure you were impressed with their demonstration during the presentation portion of the evening. They create all types of cool and useful 3D technology. Their HQ is also the site of SOLIDWORKS, a software company that produces CAD and CAE programs who sponsored our event.
Mass Innovation Nights #91 - Women Founders was our annual event featuring women startups, and wow, was it a blast! If you didn't attend, not only did you miss out on meeting 13 incredible female-founded startups, but you also missed the mayor! That's right, THE MAYOR. Marty Walsh made a surprise visit to our event at District Hall to kick off WE BOS Week, the City of Boston's official week-long series of events aimed at increasing opportunities for women in business.
Last night was our fourth event hosted by Autodesk, but our first at their impressive new BUILD Space. We spent the night surrounded by work stations, robot arms and other shiny toys. The BUILD Space is Autodesk's newly opened Research and Development building. Located in Boston's Seaport District, this workshop is aimed at digital fabrication in the building industry. Autodesk is one of the coolest companies in Boston, building software for people across the manufacturing, architecture, building, construction, media, and entertainment industries.
Mass Innovation Nights Foodie 11 was another delicious success! The event last night in Somerville featured 10 innovative food themed startups demo-ing their products and sampling their tasty treats. We had everything from mobile apps creating ways to find local food spots to creative new ways to plant seeds to New Orleans-inspired cold-brewed coffee. All ten products packed the space at ONCE Somerville. If you've never been, we'd definitely recommend!
Though last night's Mass Innovation Nights #88 wasn't the first event we've held with LogMeIn, it was the first time we used their stunning space at their brand-new headquarters. And man, was it impressive! Did you see the coffee bar? The basketball court? The swanky decor? If you're yearning for a chance to work in such a space and didn't have a chance to talk with one of the recruiting experts LogMeIn had on hand at the event, check out their website now!
