Steve Foote is a Technical Director with MITRE’s Center for National Security, heading up a technical center focused on software engineering. At MITRE, Steve is applying his extensive knowledge of computer architecture, security, database management, software development, web services, and enterprise applications to a variety of agencies within the U.S. federal government.

Before joining MITRE, Steve was an entrepreneur, having co-founded four successful start-ups. In addition to his career in the hi-tech market, Steve has been an adjunct professor of Accounting Systems at Stonehill College, where he lectures on the functional, architectural, and technical aspects of commercial accounting systems, including best practices in purchasing or designing applications, configuring them to meet specific business requirements, and securing them against fraud to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley auditing requirements. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Software Engineering), a Masters of Engineering in Computer/Information Systems, and a Masters of Computer Systems Engineering (Enterprise Software Development) all from Northeastern University. He also is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
