The Instructional Design and Online Teaching Unconference
The Instructional Design and Online Teaching Unconference from the Boston CanvasCon Folks.
It all started in 2015, when Christina Inge, an instructional designer and faculty member, was talking to colleagues at Wentworth Institute of Technology about the need for a hands-on, skill-sharing workshop on how to build great learning experiences in Canvas.
With a small bit of funding from the makers of Canvas and a few other Boston edtech companies, the first Online Learning Camp took place as Boston CanvasCon, dedicated to all things Canvas. We received great feedback from the event, from a packed audience of instructional designers and higher education and K-12 faculty. Since then we have launched as an indepedent event, led by faculty and instructional designers.
Online Learning Camp is now coming back this July at Wheelock College as an independent, attendee-led instructional design conference. It’s your turn to learn about the coolest new instructional technology, hands-on, from peers who are successfully implementing creative new ways to manage online learning.
